La rete si è ribellata al cospetto di un uomo (questa volta è il turno di Gianni Morandi) che ha osato fare la spesa di domenica.
Eggià perchè i diritti dei lavoratori sono sacrosanti!
Voglio stare con la mia famiglia il fine settimana, che diamine!
Magari per uscire tutti insieme a pranzo e andare a mangiare in un bel ristorante, dove ci sono camerieri, cuochi e tutta una brigata di persone disposte invece a lavorare nel giorno del Signore!
Aspetta…qualcosa non torna.
Ricorderete che a Ferragosto era successo qualcosa di simile. Alcune grandi catene della GDO avevano pubblicizzato la loro apertura durante la santa festa del 15 agosto e questo aveva mandato su tutte le furie non sono gli addetti ai lavori, commessi e magazzinieri di turno, ma l’intero popolo del web che unito si era schierato in difesa di questa categoria vessata anche in un giorno di festa.
Anche quella volta, con una vignetta ci siamo sentiti di non creare alcuna comparazione di merito tra un “NOI” addetti della ristorazione e “LORO” dipendenti dei supermercati.
Ma come in quell’occasione quello che deprime, e sconforta, e onestamente ci fa proprio girare le palle, è come venga ormai dato per assodato che noi altri DOBBIAMO lavorare in tutte le feste comandate, ma che dico, praticamente ogni giorno dell’anno.
Andiamo innanzitutto a sfatare alcuni luoghi comuni:
1) No, non lavoriamo solo durante le feste. Magari i ristoranti li vedete pieni solo il fine settimana, ma spesso lavoriamo 7 giorni su 7, a volte doppio turno, a volte con turni spezzati. Durante le feste di natale e la stagione estiva poi, può succedere di arrivare anche a 3 o 4 mesi ininterrotti di lavoro (chi vi scrive parla per esperienza, non per sentito dire!).
Ovvio, prima o poi anche noi abbiamo il nostro giorno di riposo, ma non è così scontato e dovuto come chi, lavorando in grandi aziende che DEVONO rispettare i contratti nazionali, si ritrova a poter usufruire di sacrosanti diritti, che tra l’altro quando non vengono rispettati, possono essere effettivamente difesi da sindacati che contano su un consistente numero di iscritti capaci di fare leva su tali aziende.
Se ve lo state chiedendo, NO, nella ristorazione non esiste un reale sindacato capace di poter far valere tali diritti.
Il motivo lo spiegheremo in un articolo prossimamente.
2) Che voi ci crediate o meno, molti di quelli che lavorano in un ristorante hanno una famiglia, una moglie, un marito, dei figli, e magari dei genitori o parenti a cui badare. Alcuni hanno persino il cane o il gatto (o entrambi!). Nonostante questo, cosa ancora più assurda, molti di noi riescono a gestirsi tra un lavoro che è totalmente slegato dai tempi della società normale, e la stessa che ti obbliga ad andare in certi uffici la mattina entro una certa ora, fare le file come voi, riuscire a portare i figli a scuola e prenderli (o spesso, mandare qualcuno a farli prendere) al termine, e dulcis in fundo andare anche in vacanza (io non ci riesco da anni, ma posso giurare di aver visto colleghi tornare abbronzati da luoghi esotici)
3) Punto FONDAMENTALE. Noi non siamo contenti del genere di vita che spesso facciamo. Alcuni riescono a lavorare in ristoranti che gli permettono di vivere in maniera normale, con ritmi di vita e paghe decenti, ma sono un’eccezione al confronto della maggioranza che vive in bilico tra contratti part-time, voucher, orari indefiniti, chiamate all’ultimo momento (a cui non puoi dire di no per necessità), precarietà del lavoro e spesso precarietà dello stesso ristorante per cui si lavora (se fallisce ti ritrovi per strada, e di questi tempi ne falliscono tanti), ammortizzatori sociali sempre più esigui (dati anche dai non-contratti che non ti permettono di fare richiesta di disoccupazione) e tante altre condizioni al limite che vi basta parlare con uno del settore per capire di che stiamo parlando.
Non siamo soddisfatti e certamente comprendiamo chi come noi vorrebbe avere il giusto tempo da poter passare con la propria famiglia piuttosto che essere “costretto” a lavorare di domenica in un supermercato.
Se altri lavoratori, in settori diversi, vengono difesi per i loro diritti e viene fatto in modo di permettergli di vivere una vita dignitosa, ben venga.
Ma non c’è niente di peggio dell’indifferenza.
Ed è questo che proviamo quando con una certa nonchalance difendete la libertà di alcuni ignorando costantemente la realtà di altri, che si da il caso vivono gli stessi problemi, da sempre, e probabilmente anche maggiori.
Ci sta che magari avete commentato e difeso quei diritti dal vostro smartphone.
Magari mentre eravate comodamente seduti in un ristorante, e forse stavate leggendo il post di Gianni Morandi, proprio di domenica.
Magari mentre davanti al vostro tavolo, in quel momento, c’era un cameriere che stava aspettando che ordinavate…
Siamo una delle categoria lavorative più grandi (forse la più grande, considerando l’elevato numero di dipendenti in nero). Secondo i dati ISTAT SETTORE I – Attività di servizio di alloggio e ristorazione, siamo più di un milione (regolari).
Ma quando leggo certi commenti e certe alzate di scudi in difesa di alcuni, quel milione sembra non esistere.
A questo punto mi chiedo cosa accadrebbe se Gianni Morandi la prossima domenica condividesse una bella foto mentre mangia al ristorante con la sua compagna.
Questo articolo è per voi clienti, noi queste cose le sappiamo da tempo e siamo coscienti della vita che facciamo, ma ciò non toglie che anche di domenica continueremo ancora a salutarvi con un sorriso, magari pensando agli amici che vanno in vacanza l’estate mentre noi siamo a lavorare in una località turistica, o la domenica quando lasciamo i figli a dormire nel letto mentre ci apprestiamo ad andare a preparare il banchetto per un matrimonio, o la notte quando rientriamo tardi e troviamo la nostra compagna (o compagno) già a dormire.

La morale Janis è che prima di scrivere bisognerebbe leggere, considerando che critichi cose non scritte, e proponi cose che sono state proposte nell’articolo.

A dire il vero è un po’ più complicato di così… il lavoro te lo scegli, spesso fin da piccolo, quando in prima superiore decidi di frequentare un alberghiero che, lo sai già, se sei fortunato ti porterà a fare un lavoro a contatto con il pubblico specialmente in quei giorni in cui tutti glia altri sono in vacanza… mio marito lavora al supermercato dal 2008, quando è stato assunto nei finesettimana e comunque nei giorni festivi si chiudeva, al massimo si apriva un paio di domeniche nel periodo natalizio e il mercoledì pomeriggio era turno di chiusura…. adesso non è più così,si è aperti ad orario continuato dalle 8 alle 21 dal lunedi alla domenica… ok ti lasciano a casa un giorno alla settimana (grazie davvero) ma in famiglia è un fantasma…la nostra figlia maggiore ogni tanto mi chiede se il suo papà le vuole bene, visto che non c’è mai… Mi dispiace ma il paragone non regge… esistono professioni in cui si consapevoli di cosa si dovrà affrontare fin dal principio dei tempi… per i commessi non è stato così e si sono per forza di cose dovuti adeguare, spesso si adeguano lo stesso con un sorriso ma se non gli sta bene non hanno proprio tutto sto gran torto… che poi diciamocelo chiaramente su 10 persone che entrano al supermercato di domenica 8 sono anzini in pensione! Persone che vanno al supermercato ogni benedettissimo giorno perchè altrimenti non sanno che fare…
cara silvia ma suo marito, allora lavora dalle 8 alle 21 per 6 giorni la settimana,si chiami fortunata che suo marito lavora magari con un contratto indeterminato, sono cuoco e ristoratore da 30 anni,purtroppo oggi con la crisi lavoro 15 ore al giorno non ho giorno di riposo,e non ho la garanzia a fine mese di avere uno stipendio come suo marito,le ricordo che ho iniziato a lavorare sapendo di dover prestare opera anche nelle festività,ma oggi e diventato sempre più difficile, per mantenere la mia attività devo far ulterior sacrifici accettare clientele anche dopo certi orari tipo le 23 o le 24, con questo non mi voglio lamentare,i tempi cambiano, pensi alle commesse che fanno un orario di lavoro pari a un supermercato vecchio stile,(9/13-15/19)magari avendo famiglia per loro com’era possibile far rifornimenti .
Dai non spariamo cagate….bisogna almeno turnare…tutti hanno diritto ad una domenica coi propri figli….unico giorno in cui non vanno a scuola e si può eventualmente organizzare una gita al mare o in montagna…o una Cazzarola di grigliata IN FAMIGLIA tutti presenti!!!!
Uno dei primi passi per ottenere dei risultati concreti è prendere consapevolezza della situazione in cui si è immersi.
Mentre gli operatori della ristorazione oramai sono consapevoli di ciò che gli ha sempre riservato il lavoro, quelli della grande distribuzione non hanno compreso in quale direzione sta andando il loro.
Il futuro di questo settore prevederà i punti vendita aperti 24h su 7 giorni a settimana.
Potrà non piacere ma così sarà e non credo sia efficace ne corretto fare una lotta all’inevitabile appellandosi al grande pubblico per non andare a fare spesa la Domenica
Stare con la famiglia è un diritto, avere un lavoro è un diritto… il fatto che entrambi (famiglia e lavoro) nel 2016 siano in tutto e per tutto un privilegio viene spesso dimenticato.
Il discorso non può limitarsi ad un “ringrazia di avere un lavoro”, ma il rispetto del lavoro degli altri… eh bè, mi sembra doveroso!
Il settore ristorazione non conosce domeniche, natale o capodanno, da sempre.
Mica è sempre stato così.
Chi lavora nella grande distribuzione sta vivendo (da anni) un cambiamento che, tra l’altro, li impegnerà sempre di più: le catene che programmano aperture h24 sono tante!

Adeguatevi o cambiate mestiere, è la stessa cosa che dico ai giovani che si propongono di lavorare nel mio locale, ma non son disposti a venire il we.

PS: continui pure ad andare serenamente al supermercato nei festivi. Peccato che nel suo velatamente vittimistico articolo si sia dimenticato di dire che se si è creata questa situazione di “indifferenza” collettiva è perchè evidentemente(a differenza dei commessi) i camerieri non hanno avuto gli attributi di farsi sentire come avrebbero dovuto nel momento giusto,e lottare per condizioni lavorative più eque; Ma questa,haimè,non è una colpa che lei può attribuire ad altri come invece ha erroneamente fatto,ma solo a se stesso e ai suoi eventuali colleghi.
Le consiglio piuttosto di prendere esempio da chi lotta,magari anche con uno smartphone, per migliorare le proprie condizioni. Invece che usare questo blog per far passare messaggi di inutile e sterile pietismo,lamentando però un indifferenza che però lei stesso dimostra verso altri.

Il secondo aspetto, che diversi giornalisti vorrebbero suggerire, riguarda quella sorta di “effetto sorpresa” provocato dalle aperture domenicali (o festive): quando si firma un contratto di lavoro, ogni cosa è scritta, e quando non lo è fa fede il Contratto Collettivo Nazionale di Lavoro della categoria, al quale anche il più semplice dei contratti lavoro rimanda. Basta leggerlo. Se non ti piace, non firmare, Trova un altro impiego che ti consenta di essere libero domenica e le altre feste comandate. Nessun titolare, improvvisamente, può obbligare il dipendente a lavorare su giorni o turni diversi da quanto previsto dal contratto che hanno sottoscritto contestualmente.
A margine, vorrei solo chiedere a tanti miei connazionali di cercare d’essere più rispettosi nei confronti di chi lavora per farci sentire o stare bene, sia esso Marco Vitali di domenica, piuttosto che l’autista di un’ambulanza di notte o la cassiera del multisala.
