Che OCCCA siamo se non sappiam VOLARE?

La sapete quale è la differenza tra un’oca e un papero? Fondamentalmente il papero non è altro che l’oca prima della maturità sessuale.
Romanticamente potremmo sostenere che il papero è un’oca che ancora deve spiccare il volo.
Già perchè le oche volano…eccome se volano! Viaggiano addirittura tra continenti.
Aspetta ma sto su OCCCA o sulla pagina del National Geographic?!
E invece c’entra, ve lo posso assicurare, ma dovrete leggere tutto per capirne il senso.
Passiamo ad un altro argomento, la campagna di crowdfunding di OCCCA lanciata il 14 Novembre per raccimolare i 20 mila euro necessari a far partire il progetto QWACK – un’app per rivoluzionare il mondo della ristorazione.
In questi 25 giorni sono state fatte domande, sollevati dubbi. Uno tra tutti era proprio il metodo di raccolta fondi, questo CROWDFUNDING di cui molti non conoscevano l’esistenza e il funzionamento.
Ma ancor di più, quello che ho scoperto, è che molti addetti del settore, cuochi, camerieri, lavapiatti, pizzaioli, barman e ristoratori, tutti impegnati a fare il loro lavoro non sanno spesso che fuori dalle mura del loro locale, del loro lavoro, della loro vita, c’è un mondo che ha imparato a unirsi per raggiungere uno scopo.
Senza intermediari.
Senza un capo.
La rete ha permesso tutto questo. Esistono tante idee, progetti, campagne nate dal basso che sono riuscite a realizzare progetti impensabili, improbabili, impossibili.
Voglio raccontarne uno che si chiama ROCKIN’ 1000.
Un bel giorno un ragazzo, Fabio Zaffagnini, decide che i Foo Fighters, una delle rock band più famose al mondo, avrebbe dovuto suonare anche a Cesena, città di certo non famosa per ospitare concerti di band famose.
Per convincere la rock band decide di farsi aiutare da 1000 musicisti, suonando una delle canzoni più famose della band: LEARN TO FLY.
Ci metterà un anno per organizzare il tutto, e tramite una piattaforma di crowdfunding (GINGER) chiede un sostegno di 40mila euro per poter organizzare il tutto e pagare le spese. Il più grande flash mob mai realizzato per suonare una sola canzone e attirare l’attenzione di una band famosa affinchè un domani potesse suonare nella propria, piccola città.
Succede. Incredibile ma vero.
Fabio raccoglie i 40mila euro, riesce a trovare i suoi 1000 musicisti e il 26 Luglio al Parco Ippodromo di Cesena avverrà il miracolo. Anzi no, il vero miracolo avvenne pochi giorni dopo, quando, dopo che il video era diventato virale, arrivò un messaggio dai Foo Fighters: “Che bello, ci vediamo presto”.
E così fu, perchè il 3 Novembre la band suonò a Cesena per un concerto che il Rolling Stones descrisse così:

“Non doveva esserci. Un concerto che nessuno dei partecipanti avrebbe mai immaginato di poter vedere”.

La musica è una forte passione che ti permette di fare cose incredibili. Ma se avessi pensato fin dall’inizio che chi fa il nostro lavoro non ha la stessa passione non avrei mai cominciato questa avventura.
Quello che ci manca però secondo me è la consapevolezza. La consapevolezza che abbiamo è quello di fare una vita dura, piena di sacrifici, di scommesse perse cercando di azzeccarne anche solo una che possa ricompensare una vita di tentativi. Stagioni a lavorare 7 giorni su 7, doppio turno, mal di schiena, di gambe, di piedi, mani logorate dalla candeggina, distanti dai familiari, dai figli, dalle compagne o compagni.
Abbiamo molto chiaro il lato negativo di questo mestiere, perchè i sacrifici sono individuali e di fatto siamo una categoria estremamente ampia, ma estremamente sola.
Abbiamo consapevolezza su quello che succede a noi e continua ad accaderci, ma non su quello che potremmo essere come unica categoria.
Ci sono molte associazioni, anche valide, che radunano alcuni mestieri, ma niente che crei un’unica grande BRIGATA. Perchè poi è questo che siamo, è questo che OCCCA ha cercato di fare fin dall’inizio.
Come una band. C’è il corso di canto, di batteria, di chitarra, di basso, ma poi per suonare tocca mettersi tutti insieme, sennò la musica non c’è.
QWACK è un progetto ampio, non è solo un’app “per cercare lavoro” come qualcuno ha sostenuto.
QWACK è il tentativo di far volare OCCCA, di far maturare la nostra categoria a qualcosa che sia al passo dei tempi, con gli strumenti migliori che abbiamo.
Siamo diventati esperti a destreggiarci con qualsiasi strumento e tecnologia, dalla cucina molecolare ai palmari in sala per prendere le comande, ma queste migliorie, queste evoluzioni le abbiamo sempre e solo applicate all’esterno, verso e per i tanti odiati/amati clienti. Per garantire un’esperienza migliore a loro.
Non si tratta solo di avere un’app gratuita, si tratta di avere uno strumento pensato per connettere tra loro addetti del settore.
Non c’è nulla ad oggi che ci permetta di coalizzarci in un obiettivo comune, se lo volessimo e nel 2016 lo strumento migliore per farlo è un’app.
Anche per cercare lavoro certo, ma non solo.
1000 appassionati di musica suonando LEARN TO FLY sono riusciti a realizzare un sogno.
Per far si che quest’OCCCA impari a volare (“learn to fly” appunto) servono altrettanti appassionati del nostro lavoro. Questo che vedete qui sotto è il sogno che Fabio Zaffagnini, un ragazzo di Cesena, riuscì a realizzare nell’estate del 2015.

  4. Ti seguo dalla nascita della pagina, con un tempismo assurdo perchè ho iniziato a lavorare nella ristorazione in quel periodo.
    Molte cose non le capivo e non le conoscevo, non le avevo sperimentate sulla mia pelle e non le credevo “vere”, mi sembravano assurde lavorando all’estero.
    Ora che son di nuovo qui..beh puoi immaginare..tra voucher, turni detti il giorno prima, se non qualche ora, tante, troppe promesse di sfruttamento.
    Ma credo tu le conosca meglio di me.
    È ora di dare una svolta a tutto questo.
    Magari non sarà la tua app che cambierà questo mondo, magari non succederà ora.
    Ma bisogna provarci, DOBBIAMO provarci.
