OCCCADAY – Tutto quello che c’è da sapere

In tanti ci chiedono e vi chiedono cosa è questa “storia dei braccialetti gialli” e dell’OCCCADAY.
Ecco in 10 punti tutto quello che c’è da sapere.

1) il primo Maggio ci sarà l’OCCCADAY

2) l’OCCCADAY è una giornata nazionale degli addetti del settore ristorativo durante la quale, nella giornata ufficialmente riconosciuta come FESTA DEI LAVORATORI, ma in cui gran parte di noi lavorerà, indossiamo o una fascia gialla autoprodotta (come nell’OCCCADAY del 2017) o il braccialetto ufficiale dell’OCCCADAY.

3) i braccialetti gialli dell’OCCCADAY sono stati la ricompensa per chi ha sostenuto il crowdfunding scaduto il 10 aprile. Ergo, non è possibile ad oggi averli o acquistarli.

4) il crowdfunding fu organizzato per 3 motivi:

  1.  raggiungere un quorum ufficiale di partecipanti all’OCCCADAY. Volevamo essere almeno 1000, visto che in Italia è un buon numero per fare una rivoluzione.
    Alla fine avete superato le nostre aspettative e siamo arrivati oltre i 1200 braccialetti spediti.
  2. OCCCA è un progetto con tante idee e progetti in cantiere. La maggior parte richiede risorse economiche e soprattutto tempo per realizzarli. Dietro a questo progetto che ha quasi 4 anni e oltre 150mila follower su facebook c’è quasi esclusivamente una persona sola, che come te, fa le sue 40 ore a settimana in un locale. Il crowdfunding è servito a sostenere quindi anche progetti futuri con parte di quello che è rimasto tolte le spese di acquisto, spedizione e relative tasse dell’obiettivo raggiunto (che era di 5mila euro, ma siamo arrivati a € 6025!)
  3. L’OCCCADAY è di fatto un evento mediatico. Hanno risposto 350 singoli utenti alle donazioni. I braccialetti sono arrivati sino in Giappone. Di fatto il crowdfunding è servito anche da volano per avere maggior visibilità possibile.

5) torniamo a ripetere che se non avete fatto in tempo a sostenere il crowdfunding e quindi ricevere i braccialetti, potete partecipare creando una fascia gialla o anche un bracciale da indossare il primo maggio. Deve vedersi ovviamente. L’idea è quella che FUORI dal nostro contesto, il mondo si accorga di noi chiedendosi:
“Ma perché oggi ho visto al bar sotto casa, al ristorante a pranzo e ora qui al bar tutti che indossate questi bracciali/fasce?”

6) ecco…perché? nella brochure che veicolammo durante il primo OCCCADAY del 2017 che potete liberamente scaricare e stampare QUI, spiegammo alla base l’identità di questo evento nato per determinare e emancipare il nostro settore.
In aggiunta a questo abbiamo deciso che ogni anno daremo un tema sul quale lavorare fino al prossimo OCCCADAY. Quest’anno abbiamo scelto il tema dell’ECOSOSTENIBILITÀ.

7) la brochure di quest’anno riprende un’articolo dove abbiamo spiegato come con 10 AZIONI SEMPLICI possiamo migliorare enormemente l’impatto ecosostenibile del locale in cui lavoriamo, che sia esso un bar, un ristorante o un hotel.
La brochure presenta uno schema, il quale verrà supportato da un form online da poter compilare. In questo modo potremo raccogliere dati utili nel promuovere un report di fine percorso con il quale stabilire a che punto siamo e dove possiamo arrivare.

8) FATTI, NON CHIACCHIERE. Vogliamo attenzione. Vogliamo che le istituzioni comprendano il peso che abbiamo nella società. Se oggi si parla di cambiamento climatico e ecosostenibilità, vogliamo che lo Stato comprenda che se 300mila attività tra bar, hotel e ristoranti decidono di eliminare una cannuccia dai loro drink, sono 300mila cannucce in meno.
Capite l’importanza che abbiamo?
Forse non abbastanza. Bisogna infatti che la capiamo e che poi la comunichiamo all’esterno.
Dobbiamo diventare ambasciatori di questa iniziativa e dell’idea che vogliamo dare all’esterno.

9) per fare questo abbiamo bisogno di costruire un’identità, rafforzarla e gridarla tutti insieme.
